"Miniproca Unveils Mini PC with Ryzen 9 Processor and Flip-Up Touchscreen on Kickstarter"

The Miniproca, a compact desktop computer featuring a 45-watt AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor and a built-in 7" flip-up touchscreen disply, has been introduced through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign.

Offering configurations with up to 32GB of DDR5-4800 memory and 2TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage, the Miniproca starts at Super Early Bird prices of $699 for the base model, which includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The high-end configuration is priced at $919 for Super Early Bird backers, a significant discount from the suggested retail prices ranging from $1259 to $1999.

Despite utilizing a processor launched two years prior, the Ryzen 6900HX remains competitive, featuring 8 Zen 3+ CPU cores and Radeon 680M integrated graphics with 12 RDNA 2 GPU cores. The Miniproca’s design is notably compact, measuring 175 x 137 x 55mm, and is housed in an aluminum alloy chassis equipped with a 4,000 RPM fan and vapor chamber cooling for efficient thermal management.

Connectivity options on the Miniproca include two USB Type-C ports (with one being full-featured), two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.4, two 2.5 GbE LAN ports, one 3.5mm audio jack, and a DC power input. It supports up to three 4K displays simultaneously—four if including the built-in screen—and offers WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless connectivity.
